The Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO)

The Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO) was honored to be selected as a 2024 Gallagher Grant recipient, receiving $10,000 in support of its upcoming Advanced Practitioner Onboarding Course, launching on August 29, 2025. With an estimated 1,500–2,000 new oncology APs joining the workforce annually, APSHO developed this course to ensure APs are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of cancer care. The program will provide a standardized, foundational learning experience that supports both clinical excellence and professional integration.

“One out of 4 Americans will have a cancer in their lifetime. APSHO’s mission is to improve the quality of care for patients with cancer by supporting the needs of oncology/hematology Advanced Practitioners. Gallagher’s generous gift will better prepare advanced practitioners to practice at the top of their licensure.”
